About Cold Facts Magazine
Cold Facts is the only magazine exclusively dedicated to the science
and technology of very low temperatures. No other publication focuses on
cryogenic engineering and applications as does Cold Facts.
Cold Facts brings its readers news about meetings; speakers/authors;
columns detailing advances in the field; feature articles on such subjects as
helium cryogenics, cryomagnets, cryocoolers, low-loss dewars, pulse tubes,
instrumentation, insulation technology, cryogenic safety, new products and literature,
calendar of upcoming events, trade shows, conferences, book reviews and spotlights on companies.
What our Readers say about Cold Facts
"I received some inquiries from companies who read the Cold Facts
article about what is going on in cryogenics around the national labs.
Cold Facts really has become a major forum for cryogenic information
exchange. Congratulations on your efforts!"
— Manager at national lab,
chair of Cryogenic Engineering Conference
"I always read the ads first! I learn a lot from them."
— Cryogenic engineer and manager,
Stanford Linear Accelerator
"The last issue was the best yet. Just plain excellent. I have
used some of the data at least three times since I got the magazine. I
think Art Francis, Bob Rudland and Glen MacIntosh are tops!"
— Cryogenic engineer,
presentor of cryogenic short courses
"Overall very good. Keep up the good work."
— Founder of superconductivity commercialization
company
"I learn things I can use right away by reading it. I enjoy the
historical articles. I pay attention to the ads, which can also be very
informative and helpful."
— Scientist, National High Magnetic Field
Laboratory
"Keep up the great work. I like articles from Scurlock, MacIntosh,
Radebaugh, Edeskuty, K. Senno and the advertisements."
— Senior Physicist, Oak Ridge National
Laboratory
"I like best the Cryo Frontiers column, company spotlights, short technical
notes."
— Professor, Technical University of
Dresden
"It's an impressive publication. I, and the people who work for me on
cryogenic systems, feel that we need to read each issue."
— Department head, national laboratory
"Cold Facts is a real bargain, when we analyze the number of inquiries
we have been getting in terms of the cost of placing the ads. We're back
for 2004 and count us in on the Buyer's Guide!"
— Marketing manager for a corporate member,
a cryo equipment manufacturer
These are just a few of the many replies to a recent survey we posted on
our web site and sent out as e-mail to our mailing list.
Cold Facts is respected by our readers who are leaders and very
influential in the specifying and buying process of cryogenic products and
services. There is no other publication that reaches this specialized
audience and does it as cost-efficiently as Cold Facts. While
most trade publications have been losing revenue, Cold Facts has gained
not only readership but also advertising support.
