Thermal management solutions provider Advanced Cooling Technologies has received a $1 million order from Hamilton Storage to support its biological sample storage freezers. The order includes cryogenic cold walls integral to Hamilton Storage’s ongoing cold plate programme, which ensures consistent temperatures for sensitive biological specimens.
Ensuring Sample Integrity
Hamilton Storage freezers operate at -80°C to maintain sample integrity, particularly for delicate biological materials. Most specimens require liquid nitrogen freezing to ensure stability and longevity. The cold walls provided by Advanced Cooling Technologies enable specimens to remain within optimal temperature ranges throughout their lifecycle within the system.
The equipment will be installed in seven large systems across the US and UK.
A Partnership for Critical Applications
Bryan Muzyka, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Advanced Cooling Technologies, welcomed the collaboration, emphasizing the companies’ shared dedication to supporting critical applications.
Hamilton Storage’s freezer design offers high-capacity storage solutions, accommodating anywhere from 100,000 to over 23 million biological samples in diverse labware configurations.
