This new development brings unparalleled capabilities for biological sample storage to Ireland.

Gerald Hurley, CEO of the Waterford Chamber of Commerce, joined Astoriom’s team to mark the expansion, celebrating this significant milestone for the local community and Ireland's growing life sciences sector.

The dedicated cryogenic suite addresses the increasing need for safe, long-term preservation of biological materials, ensuring their viability over extended periods. Building on its existing customer base, the Tramore site—already known for stability storage, disaster recovery, biorepository, and validation services—expands its offerings with this new suite. It is expected to serve industries such as pharmaceuticals, IVF clinics, and other organizations requiring secure biological sample storage.

The suite also plays a key role in disaster recovery planning, meeting emerging regulatory requirements for comprehensive backup strategies. With precise temperature ranges of -196°C and full adherence to ISO 9001 certifications, the facility sets a new standard in compliance with global regulatory requirements.
